Gardening seminars
TURNER — “Gardening In Turner” seminars will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, with presenters Bill Rupert and Lin Gilbert, demonstrations and round-table discussion involving audience.
The event is hosted by Turner Public Library in Leavitt Institute Building, Turner Center. There will be free coffee, doughnuts and cider, as well as a luncheon for purchase.
Donations accepted; all proceeds to help Turner family in journey to health. For more information call 225-2030.
Society collecting for yard sale
HEBRON — The Hebron Historical Society is accumulating merchandise for an upcoming yard sale in support of its Building Fund. The sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on its property at 358 Hebron Road.
Anyone with items they would like to donate, big or small, many or few, is asked to call 966-2177 or 966-2023. Pick up is available. Donations are tax deductible.
Sodalist of the Year dinner
LEWISTON — The Ladies of St. Ann Sodality of Holy Family, Prince of Peace Parish, will have their annual celebration of the Sodalist of the Year Award on Wednesday, May 8, at the Green Ladle Cafe on East Avenue.
A baked stuffed chicken dinner will be served. Doors will open at 5:30 and dinner will be at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 and have to be purchased prior to the event. For tickets contact any board member or call Anita at 782-4516.
The entertainment will be by Lola Lee and the Country Bandits. There will be door prizes and 50/50.
Ladypalooza! is May 11
AUBURN — Ladypalooza! will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch.
Admission is free. There will be a raffle with proceeds benefiting KidsPeace, a private charity dedicated to serving the behavioral and mental health needs of children, families and communities.
The afternoon will consist of samples, demonstrations and unique gifts from 50 local businesses. There will be massage, hors d’oeuvres, energy work and girl time. Select the perfect Mother’s Day gift browsing a huge selection of jewelry, housewares, personal care items and much more. Each vendor will provide a raffle gift with proceeds benefiting KidsPeace.
