RUMFORD — Mr. and Mrs. Timothy L. Gallant of Perkins Township are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Mary E. Gallant of Rumford, to Joshua Smith of Rumford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Smith of Mexico.

Miss Gallant is a 2008 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and is currently employed as a DSP for Hope Association of Rumford.

Mr. Smith is a 2004 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is currently employed at NAPPA of Mexico.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 24.
