- Aidan Dillon, on left, and Sophia Grover of Auburn presented the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society with the donations from their joint eighth birthday party held at Jokers in June. Dillon and Grover, both second grade students at the Park Avenue Elementary School, asked for donations for the pets in lieu of birthday gifts. Party guests generously donated pet food and over $60 to the shelter, all of which will help with the care of the thousands of unwanted animals the Humane Society helps each year.
