Archive work, lawn/food sale
JAY — Jay Historical Society members will meet at the Jay Historical Archives building at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, to continue reassembling the archive room from the April car crash.
Plans are being made for a lawn sale and food sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31. There will also be a sale of raffle tickets on some outstanding items donated by local merchants.

Mt. Blue movie; program on flora
WELD — Mount Blue State Park will show the movie, “The Adventures of Huck Finn,” at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at the amphitheater.
Iconic Flora and Fauna of Maine will be discussed by park manager Andy Hutchinson, park ranger Michael Frey and environmental steward Jennifer Clark from Wolf Neck Woods State Park at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the amphitheater.
Sandy River Ramblers concert
PHILLIPS — The Sandy River Ramblers will be in concert at 7p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Phillips Community Church.
This lively bluegrass and country group will kick off Phillips Old Home Days with another of its signature performances, sure to please anyone who likes their “down home” music and humor.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and free for kids 5 and under. Homemade refreshments will be on sale during intermission. The concert benefits the church’s mission and building funds.
