MEDWAY (AP) — Police say an Arizona man has died in a single-car crash on a rural eastern Maine highway.
Police said 85-year-old Paul Benn from Phoenix was traveling north on Interstate 95 in Medway at about 10:30 a.m. Monday when a witness driving behind him saw his car drift onto the rumble strip.
Benn overcorrected and the car ended up in trees on the side of the road.
Police told WABI-TV (http://bit.ly/16s47aY ) the car was about 60 feet from the road. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
They think Benn either fell asleep at the wheel or may have had a medical issue.
The crash remains under investigation.
