OXFORD — Western Maine Christian Men second annual conference will be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20 and 21, at the Oxford Advent Christian Church, 1122 Main St. The hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Main session speakers will be Michael Heath of Helping Hands Ministry, Pastor Will Kahkonen of Victory Christian Church and Pastor Dr. Robert Boumier of Harvest Hill Church. Several workshops will be taught by Outstanding Equippers of Men.

Saturday’s lunch is included in the admission price of $15.

The conference is being sponsored by the churches of the Pastors’ Prayer Fellowship of the Oxford Hills Area.

Workshops include:

Marriage Matters for Men: Pastor Dallas Henry, married 51 years, has been putting together a packet of materials and a presentation to help strengthen marriage or to help prepare for marriage.

Money Matters for Men: Adam R. Hanson is business manager for the city of Auburn School District. He and his wife Beth are also debt free, after huge college loan debts, and able to be flexible in serving the Lord with their finances. He will share practical steps to help with the matters of household finances and budgeting.

The Purpose of the Church and the Role of Her Men (two sessions):  Pastors Jerry Hubbard and John Callina are teaming up as Hubbard takes the morning session and talks “Church” for our day and age. Callina will get specific in the afternoon about the role of real “Men in the Lord’s Church Today!”
