PORTLAND — Portland police are on the lookout for a man they believe robbed a Key Bank Friday morning.

According to a police announcement, investigators are searching for a medium build white male in his 20s or 30s, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall. The man allegedly entered the 400 Forest Ave. bank at around 10:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money.

Police say the man did not appear to be armed. After he exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled on foot inbound on Forest Avenue, according to the police announcement.

“The suspect was wearing a yellow traffic vest with the words ‘Maine Works’ on the back,” said police. “He was also wearing a light gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt under the vest. The suspect was wearing a dark colored hat and sunglasses and was carrying a yellow hard hat. The suspect may have been seen entering the TruChoice Credit Union on Park Avenue and the cPort Credit Union on Forest Avenue before robbing the Key Bank.”
