You’ve heard the horror stories. You post a treasured photo on Facebook and the next thing you know, they’re using it in advertisements all over the place without your permission. Why? Because while social networks don’t take ownership of the things you post, they DO have the right to use that material in various ways whether you like it or not. When you spend time on the big league playgrounds of the major social networks, some of your rights go right out the window.

It’s all very confusing. Fortunately, Lee Provost is offering a solution for those who value privacy and online safety. What’s more, this former Lewiston man, now hanging out in Luxembourg, explains it all a whole lot better than I do. With that, here’s Lee to tell us about his network.

What is this new network all about? TEE Network is a professional and personal network integrated onto one platform! A new social networking platform encompassing on a complete lifestyle. At the forefront of this company is the importance of privacy and security.

TEE Network has established their headquarters in Luxembourg for this very reason. Luxembourg has a well-defined data protection policy that strengthens all aspects of security and privacy. TEE Network provides a platform for social networking but does not “own” the information people add. They believe the ownership is by the networker and should remain as such. . . .

TEE Network is in beta version. They expect to have a lot of feedback from the users regarding their experiences on the platform. In addition, every few weeks, they will introduce new features until the end of year. Some features are the mobile application, sponsorship program, advertising program, app center, blogs, forums and so much more.

How did you get into this kind of geekery? To be very honest and being a military soldier at the time, social networking was the best way to communicate to my friends and family. The idea came when I really starting seeing all my information appear throughout the entire online environment and I was thinking: there needs to be better, more secure way of social networking. So, two years ago I developed a process that literally opens the online environment while maintaining a very secure way to do it. The networkers need to have the choice of what and how they want to communicate. So the process began . . .

How did you end up in Luxembourg? In 2001, I joined the United States Air Force, where this led me to be stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany. I met my wife, a German citizen, and once my contract was coming to an end in 2007, we both made the decision to remain in Europe. Germany is the border country to Luxembourg. Working in Luxembourg has a strong international appeal and we consider Luxembourg as the heart of Europe. I joined the financial industry for five years and then decided to pursue the platform that has been constantly running in my mind.

What is the future of social networking? I honestly believe that the future of social networking greatly depends on the users and their wants. TEE network expects to always have feedback and help us mold social network to a system that is always comfortable. Our business concept is to adapt to user wants and needs while focusing on the security and privacy of users.

What’s next for you? Our goal greatly depends on the users. We want to mold our future based on their future expectations. TEE Network is free to join. . . . Visit TEE Network here: www.TEEnetwork.com. They are greatly anticipating your feedback and suggestions.
