- Mark Carpenter, top, of Greene and his brother, Brian Carpenter of Brunswick, work together to install a chimney on their ice shack on Sabattus Pond on Friday. The brothers and Scott Robert, also of Greene, set their shack in place for Saturday’s Fish For a Cure Pike Derby, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society to help fight breast cancer. Fishermen all across the lake planned to spend the night on the ice so that they could get first crack at the pike when the derby starts at 6 a.m.
