GRAND ISLE (AP) — A small Maine town on the Canadian border has lost the use of its only snowplow.
Gary Campbell was driving the plow Sunday when it hit a crevice, spun around and flipped onto its side.
The Bangor Daily News reported (http://bit.ly/LoO1sb ) that Campbell was not injured, but the 2003 International truck sustained about $5,000 in damage.
The Sheriff’s office said officials are making arrangements to have the roads in this town of about 460 people plowed while the truck is being repaired.
Officials said the cause of the accident is still being investigated but speed does not appear to be a factor.
