LEWISTON — Jean Luc-Dostie, Kyle Lemelin and Griffin Wade picked up goals in Lewiston High School’s 3-1 win over Thornton Academy in boys’ hockey Wednesday.

Lemelin also had an assist, long with Kyle Morin. Max Bolduc had two helpers in the win.

Taylor Browne picked up Thornton’s only goal with the assists from Alex Fallon and Drew Lavigne.

Nick Hawk picked up the victory in net for the Blue Devils. Lewiston improves to 13-3 on the season while Thornton drops 6-8-1.

Edward Little 4, Poland/Gray-NG 4

AUBURN — The Red Eddies produced a three-goal, third period rally as Edward Little and Gray-New Gloucester/Poland slid to a 4-4 tie in boys’ ice hockey action on Wednesday night.

With the score even at the end of the first period, each team took turns scoring three goals in each of the next periods. Sophomore Matt Grenier led the scoring effort for the Red Eddies (10-5-1) with two tallies.

Headed by a strong performance in net by Nick Hemond (29 saves), Gray-New Gloucester kept the Eddies in range to secure the tie. Isaiah Dubois netted two goals for the 26ers, who move to 4-10-1 on the season.

St. Dom’s 3, Brunswick 2, OT

AUBURN — Chase Hainey ripped a shot into the back of the net in extra time as St. Dom’s edged Brunswick 3-2 in a boys’ ice hockey contest on Wednesday.

St. Dom’s produced two second-period goals to force an overtime. Hainey found the back of the net twice on the day for the Saints (9-6-1), while Dillon Pratt tallied the third goal for St. Dom’s.

Jacob Parent and Matt Brooks tallied a goal each for the Dragons (8-7-1), while Blake Alexander had an impressive day in net, turning back 32 shots.
