Ranor Mechanical(14-0) of Jay defended its 2013 championship in the Mountain Valley Rec Basketall League by beating Archies, Inc (8-7)of Mexico, 82-68, in Mexico on March 22. Ranor advanced to the finals after defeating the Tommy Guns of Mexico (6-8) in the semifinals. The Archies, who finished third during the regular season, advanced by upsetting second-place Laid Back Installers (11-3 )of Mexico in the semis. Ranor was led by Shawn Spadea with 23 point (10 for 11 from the foul line), Scot New with 20 points, Craig Milledge with 14 points and captain Aaron St. Pierre with 12 points. The Archies were paced by Cody St. Germain with 20 points, Mike Holmquist with 19 points (four 3-pointers), Dylan Mawhinney 11 points (Three 3-pointers) and Brett Archibauld with 11 points. Members of the championship team are, front, Craig Milledge and JT Taylor; back, New, Kevin Gallant and Aaron St. Pierre. Missing from the photo are Shawn Spadea and Chris Willer.
