Season outlook: The Patriots hope to reap the rewards of a difficult 2013. Season-ending injuries forced some young players into the lineup prematurely last year, so seven starters return. Earning a playoff berth out of the loaded WMC is always tough, but Smith hopes the extra experience can make the Patriots a factor.
