OXFORD — A 19-year-old man was injured when he drove his vehicle into a telephone pole Thursday night.
According to police, Benjamin Gould, of King Street, Oxford, was driving eastbound on King Street at 8:45 p.m. Thursday when he apparently fell asleep and drove his green, 2002 Dodge Dakota, into a telephone pole.
Police said the pole was severed, bringing wires down onto the street. The road was closed for about an hour. Gould was taken to Stephen Memorial Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
No citations were issued.
