LEWISTON — Police on Monday evening checked the CVS pharmacy at 446 Sabattus St. after a bomb threat.
According to Lt. David St. Pierre of the Lewiston Police Department, the threat was called in at 5:22 p.m. Officers blocked off the parking lot while the store was evacuated.
A Maine State Police dog was brought in and after a thorough sweep, the store was deemed safe at 6:45 p.m. and employees were allowed back in.
The incident remains under investigation.
