OAKLAND — A central Maine man is facing charges of seriously injuring his girlfriend’s twin 2-year-old girls.
Twenty-five-year-old David Devine of Oakland was arrested Friday on two counts of aggravated assault.
Police say he attacked and seriously injured the girls in their Oakland home earlier this month.
The Morning Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/1vXl1v7 ) that the girls were taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for treatment.
Devine is being held in the Kennebec County jail without bail pending a court appearance on Tuesday.
It was not immediately known if he is being represented by an attorney.
