June 28: Kingfield POPS in Kingfield features the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Grammy-winner Lucas Richman, Jonathan Edwards, Kate Schrock, Pihcintu Multicultural Chorus, Western Mountain Trash Can Band, and the Grand Fireworks Finale. The gate opens at 4:30 p.m. Adults $30 at the gate, $25 in advance. Youth tickets for age 17 and younger are free of charge, thanks to our generous sponsors.

June 28: Strawberry Festival at Washburn-Norlands Living History Center features wagon rides, craft demonstrations, mansion tours, storytelling, one-room schoolhouse, old-fashion games, nature walk, music, and strawberry shortcake! 10 a.m.-4 p.m. $8 adults, $6 children age 12 and under, $25 family rate.

July 1: Summer Living History Tours at Washburn-Norlands Living History Center. Vistors to this site are engaged by interpreters dressed in period clothing who portray a local person you might have met had you visited in 1870. Tour at your own pace. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays until August 20, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

July 3: Tri-Town Independence Day Fireworks. The Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls chamber of commerce coordinates the annual Independence Day fireworks display for the three towns it serves. The fireworks are set up at the Spruce Mountain Ski Slope in Jay and are shot over the Androscoggin River.

July 4: Farmington Fourth of July Parade. Come see Farmington Rotary Club’s annual parade in downtown Farmington 10 a.m.

 July 4: Carrabassett Valley 4th of July Celebration. Events include a children’s parade. Meet at 12:15 p.m. at Tufulio’s Parking Lot. Events follow at the town park, the town pool opens at noon. July 9: Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast 7-9 a.m. at UMF’s North Dining Hall. The Retail Association of Maine will be presenting their new retail shop local program, “Shop Second Saturday.” This event is free for Chamber Members and only $5 for non-members!

July 24: FCCOC Business After Hours with Expenet Technologies and Ray Ray’s Café in Downtown Wilton. 5-7 p.m.
