RANGELEY — Police said a Lewiston woman is accused of attacking a man, breaking his glasses and hitting him several times at an inn they were staying at on Wednesday.
Lisa Hall, 51, had a small bag of hallucinogenic mushrooms on her when she was booked at the jail, police Chief Dennis Leahy said Thursday.
Sgt. Jared Austin arrested Hall on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence assault.
Austin responded to a report of a domestic argument at 10:46 p.m. from a manager at the Saddleback Motor Inn on Main Street, Leahy said. The manager reported the woman was out of control on the second-floor balcony and he saw her shove the man against the balcony railing, the chief said.
When Austin interviewed the man, he told him the woman had been drinking. He also said she had broken his glasses and hit him in the face and the side of his body several times, Leahy said.
Hall told police nothing happened and denied hitting the man, he said.
Austin could smell a strong odor of intoxicants, and with her staggered gait and witness reports of what occurred, he arrested her on the assault charge, Leahy said.
She was taken to the Franklin County jail in Farmington.
A corrections officer discovered a small bag of hallucinogenic mushrooms in Hall’s pocket and a marijuana pipe with residue in it, Leahy said. Both items were seized until they could be disposed of properly, he said.
Hall posted $250 cash bail to be released from the jail on Thursday, a corrections officer said.
