1953 – 2014
BURLINGTON, Mass. — Haydn Arnell Hogan Jones, 60, of Rumford, died on Sunday, Aug. 10, after hospitalization in Burlington, Mass.
Arnell was born on Dec. 8, 1953, in Washington, D.C., the second of seven children born to Willis and Veronica Jones. He married Rosemarie (Tibbetts) Jones on Aug. 11, 1984.
Arnell worked as an engineer in the electrical department of Rumford Paper Co., before illness necessitated leaving that position.
Music, however, was his true passion. People all over New England have enjoyed his skills as a drummer, keyboardist and guitarist. A certified diving instructor, Arnell also introduced many to the sport of scuba.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; children, Rosalie, Larry and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Joshua, Nitasha, Timothy, Joey, Taylor, Jessi-Raye, Breanna and Brian; great-grandchildren, Owen, Ayla and Adriel; five siblings, Gregory, Kevin, Willis, Monica and Paul, and their spouses; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald.
