AUGUSTA — Sarah B. Ramage, 93, of Granite Hill Estates in Hallowell, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 24, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, with family at her side.

Sally, as she was known by her many friends, was born in Dover, N.H., on Sept. 8, 1920, a daughter of the late Maurice T. and Laura (Edney) Buzzell. She graduated from Dover High School in 1938. She grew up on the family farm in Barrington, N.H., with her older brother, James, and sisters, Miriam and Helen.

Sally met the love of her life in 1941, in Lincoln, N.H., while working a summer job. She and Kenneth were married on July 18, 1942, in Spartanburg, S.C., while Kenneth was stationed at Camp Croft Army Base. In 1943, while Ken was deployed with the Second Division to the European Theater, Sally moved to Concord, N.H., to live with her sister, Miriam.

After the war, Sally and Ken moved to Lincoln, N.H., where they made their home and raised two boys. Sally was a dedicated homemaker and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. For Sally, it was all about the family.

She spent countless hours at Little League baseball games, ski slopes and golf courses in her younger years. In her later years, she enjoyed camping, mostly in Naples. She was an avid reader and loved to play bridge. She was active in West Parish Congregational Church in Bethel. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Legion Post 81.
