Employers discuss ‘hundreds of jobs’ at Lewiston job fair

Thirty five employers with “hundreds of jobs” made themselves available to people looking for work, said CareerCenter Manager Mary LaFontaine. The center hosts a job fair on the first Monday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., said LaFontaine. “It is important to dress like you are going to an interview,” said LaFontaine. “Your first impression is a lasting impression,” she said. “It’s basically your first interview,” LaFontaine said about talking to local employers during a job fair. “Have a resume in hand and be ready to talk about what you have to offer,” suggested LaFontaine. She said that anyone looking for work that needs help with her tips are welcome to stop in at the CareerCenter before going to a job fair. Forgues said that the CareerCenter offers “a lot of great information and lots of resources” to help with job searching.
