As a former law enforcement officer and originator of the Law Enforcement Program at Lewiston Regional Technical Center in 1990, I have had the honor of knowing and working with Capt. Raymond Lafrance of the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office for more than 20 years. He is a charter member and former board chairman of the Law Enforcement Program advisory committee at LRTC.

Through the years, I have witnessed Capt. Lafrance as a level-headed leader who will not be afraid of taking on the complex and demanding job of sheriff. He is an excellent manager and is extremely honest in all his dealings with people. He is highly trained and respected by members of the law enforcement community. He is the best qualified candidate for the job of sheriff.

There is no doubt in this Republican’s mind — Capt. Raymond Lafrance should be elected as the next sheriff of Androscoggin County.
