RUMFORD – Mr. And Mrs. Elliot “Bud” Burns of Rumford are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Gayle Burns of Hooksett, N.H., to Eric Maddox of Dedham, Mass., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Maddox of Arlington, Mass.

Miss Burns is a graduate of Rumford High School in Rumford and Bowdoin College in Brunswick. She is currently a business systems manager with FCI USA in Manchester, N.H.

Mr. Maddox is a graduate of Arlington High School in Arlington and Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. He is currently a software engineer with CEI in Boston.

A December wedding will take place in Manchester, N.H. The couple plans to reside in Hooksett.
