FARMINGTON — When Regional School Unit 9 Director Ross Clair got up from his chair at the board meeting Tuesday, he said he had a list of 31 potential replacements for the superintendent.

He handed out a stack of papers that listed the names of Mt. Blue High School’s National Honor Society, including the 31 students that were inducted into the society during a ceremony Monday night at the Mt. Blue Campus.

The list also had an additional 13 potential replacements who previously were inducted into the society. The adviser for the group is Sean Minear, culinary arts instructor at the Foster Career and Technical Education Center at the Mt. Blue campus.

Clair, of Chesterville, told board members, Superintendent Tom Ward and others he had permission from RSU 9 board Chairman Mark Prentiss of Farmington to make the presentation. It appeared Ward didn’t know about it.

Society members Jacob Williams and Autumn Clair are on the board, representing students.

Board members applauded the student representatives and the others in the society.
