SACO (AP) — Police in Maine continue to investigate a home invasion in Saco in which one of the homeowners as well as a house guest were shot multiple times.
Police identified the victims of the home invasion just before 3 a.m. Thursday as homeowner Steven Chabot and guest Rachel Owens of Londonderry, N.H. Chabot’s wife, Carol, was in the home at the time, but was unharmed.
The victims were hospitalized but their conditions could not immediately be determined.
Police Chief Brad Paul says Steven Chabot called 911 but the intruder had fled before officers arrived.
Paul says one person was in custody for questioning in Londonderry, but is not under arrest. Owens’ home in New Hampshire had also been sealed by police.
Paul said it was not a random attack.
