LIVERMORE FALLS — Spruce Mountain Adult Education will launch a new College Transitions class. This grant-funded, intensive 12-week course can bridge the gap between you and college. Discover strategies to improve your technology, time management and study skills as well as your reading, writing and math levels.
In addition, students will complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid), explore career options, tour local community colleges and universities and research scholarship opportunities. Representatives from the Community College and the University of Maine System will be available to answer any questions. One college credit may be earned when students meet the standards of the class.
This class is offered free of charge. A special invitation is extended to all veterans who are preparing to return to college.
Classes start Monday, Jan. 26.
