RUMFORD — Black Mountain Ski Resort is holding its second snowmobile hill climb of the season from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23.

The ski resort held its first hill climb of the season on Dec. 13, which attracted more than 125 snowmobile riders.

General Manager Jim Carter said that the snowmobile hill climb is one of the resort’s most popular events and that he’s hoping to continue seeing the number of participants grow.

Preregistration is $15 online, over the phone or at the lodge. Registration is $20 on the day of the race.

Carter said grudge matches — where snowmobile riders have the chance to race head-to-head with their friends or other riders for a $5 fee — will take place after the 1 p.m. main event.
