Citywide parking bans will be in effect in Auburn and Lewiston on Saturday and into early Sunday.
A snowstorm is expected to hit the area at noon Saturday and continue into Sunday morning, with possible accumulations of 6 inches or more, according to the National Weather Service in Gray.
Any vehicles left on city streets in violation of the ban will be towed immediately, police wrote in a press release.
There will be no relief parking in the designated downtown parking district because the ban will take effect after 11 p.m., police said.
In Lewiston, no cars will be allowed to park on city streets from 10 p.m. Saturday through 8 a.m. Sunday, according to a spokesman at the Lewiston Police Department.
This story will be updated when more storm information becomes available.
