LEWISTON — The Lewiston Youth Advisory Council will debut its 30-minute documentary entitled “We Love Lewiston, Maine” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Guthries Independent Theatre, 115 Middle St. Admission is free and doors will open at 6 p.m. for “first-come” seating. Guthries food will be available for purchase.

The documentary is part of LYAC’s “Do You Do Lew” public image campaign for Lewiston, encouraging people to “be themselves and enjoy life in Lewiston.” Those featured in the 30-minute film are: Lewiston mayor Mayor Robert Macdonald; business owner Hillary Dow; LPD officer Craig Johnson; homeowner Christine Holden; former Mayor Larry Gilbert; two students from the LHS 21st Century Program; Professor Brian Davenport of USM’s L-A College; Anne Ryan, Kaplan University executive director; Councilor Kristen Cloutier; Councilor Leslie Dubois; Judge of Probate Michael Dubois; Tim Stretton, Sen. Collins’ staff person and former LYAC member; LHS teacher Michelle Crowley; Denise Scammon, L/A Arts board vice president; Josh Vink, L/A Arts executive director; Darby Ray of the Bates College Harward Center; superintendent of schools Bill Webster; Erin Guay of Healthy Androscoggin; and Sherie Blumenthal of the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center.

LYAC filmed the documentary in December, and the final product was produced by Roundpoint Movies through donation funds from the Lewiston Firefighters Association.
