RUMFORD — Hope Association has been selected for inclusion on Bangor Savings Bank Foundation’s 2015 Community Matters More ballot. As one of 68 Maine organizations listed on the ballot, Hope Association will received a $1,000 grant and will be in the running for a top award of $5,000.
Through Community Matters More, Maine’s largest independent bank offers all Maine residents the opportunity to weigh in on how best to allocate $100,000 the bank has pledged to give to 68 Maine nonprofit organizations. Last year, over 86,000 Mainer’s voted.
Hope Association is a private, nonprofit corporation that has been serving individuals with intellectual and related disabilities in the Greater Rumford area since 1956. The focus of its services is person-centered; helping individuals to stretch and grow in all life areas. Hope Association has also assisted individuals with various disabilities find and maintain employment since 2001.
The voting takes place during the month of February with winners announced in April.
Only one vote per person will be accepted. Stop by Bangor Savings Bank or visit www.bangor.com/cmm to cast a ballot. Paper ballots are also available at Hope Association.
