AUGUSTA (AP) — Police say one man was taken to the hospital and two men are facing charges after what appears to be a drug-related shooting in Augusta.

Lt. Christopher Massey says officers responded to reports of a fight at a Mount Vernon Avenue apartment building on Monday night.

Upon arrival, police found a man with a gunshot wound to the arm. He was treated and released from a hospital.

Police arrested 50-year-old Anthony George Perry, of Augusta, on a warrant and 35-year-old Nathan Bernheisel, of Gardiner, on warrants and new charges including two counts of unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs. Both remain in jail.

Police did not say if either of the men arrested was the shooting victim.

Massey told the Kennebec Journal (http://bit.ly/1yGgoEB ) the investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
