SOUTH PORTLAND — Students in local marketing and hospitality programs participated and competed at the DECA Maine Conference in South Portland on March 5 and 6. The following students placed in their competitions:
* Cameron Letourneau, Hebron, first place in Learn and Earn Project.
* Kayla Lord and Autumn Puckett, both of South Paris, first place in Fashion Merchandising Promotion Plan.
* Tianna Sugars and Amy Turner, both of South Paris, first place in Advertising Campaign.
* Kimberly Smith, South Paris, first place in Human Resources.
* Whitney Morse, Waterford, first place in Apparel and Accessories.
* Ryland VanDecker, Otisfield, first place in Automotive Services.
* Victoria Pendleton, South Paris, first place in Principles of Marketing.
* Laura Valeri, Otisfield, first place in Principles of Business Administration.
* Katelyn Campbell, West Paris, first place in Principles of Hospitality.
* Erin Cleary, Oxford and Heather Swain, Norway, second place in Hospitality Services.
* Jessica Scott, Oxford and Faith Bedard, Hartford, second place in Travel and Tourism.
* Brennan Gillespie, Norway, third place in Sports and Entertainment Marketing.
* Nicholas Allen, Norway, third place in Restaurant and Food Services.
Also, two students were elected to serve as Maine State Officers: Erin Cleary and Heather Swain.
