NORTH WATERFORD — Evelyn M. “Evie” (Allen) McAuliffe, 85, died Tuesday, June 9, at her home in North Waterford.
She was born on July 17, 1929, in Cambridge, Mass., a daughter of Albert and Hazel (O’Neill) Allen.
During her married life, Evie, formerly of Watertown and Marlborough, Mass., enjoyed vacationing with her family in Wellfleet, Mass., and participating in church activities. In her later years, Evie loved visiting with her sisters and keeping up online with distant family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Marilyn Connelly and her husband, Michael, Daniel McAuliffe Jr. and his wife, Peggy, Amy Queander and Judith Cabaniss; daughter-in-law, Anne McAuliffe; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Albert Allen; three sisters, Dolly MacDonald, Merle McAllister and Margaret McAllister; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel J. McAuliffe in 1988; and sisters, Ruth Swett and Irene Trimback.
