1935 – 2015
PORTLAND — Jeannine J. Jacques, 79, of Turner died on Thursday, June 11, at Maine Medical Center with her family by her side, following a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston, on July 15, 1935, the daughter of the late Armand and Jeanne (Bourgoin) Pelletier and had been a resident of this community all of her life.
She was educated in Lewiston schools and was a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School, Class of 1954.
She was a homemaker all of her life, having raised her six children.
Jeannine was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed going to all of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed playing bingo and gambling at the casino and had a passion for making puzzles and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Roger A. Jacques of Turner, whom she married on June 8, 1957; three daughters, Lynn Grenier and her husband, Louis, of Lewiston, Patricia Holt and her husband, Kenneth, of Lisbon, and Pamela Reynolds and her husband, Bill, of Poland; three sons, Michael Jacques and his wife, Kathy, of Austin, Texas, Russell Jacques and his companion, Hiram Carrington, of Pasadena, Calif., and David Jacques and his wife, Shelly, of Poland; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
