As for last week’s winner:
Eddie Desrosiers has been running his business, Eddie’s Wheel & Deal Discount Furniture, for nearly 50 years. He was once located on Lisbon Street in Lewiston, but when a fire destroyed his place, along with Mary’s Tavern, the city “took it by eminent domain,” Eddie says. He relocated his business just over the Auburn line in Turner, near the airport on Route 4. That was 30 years ago. At that time, he wanted to attract attention, so he hired a woman from Dixfield to make a sign that would do just that. It has been repainted several times over the years, according to Desrosiers. We had several incorrect answers, but nobody correctly guessed that it was the back side of the sign in front of the business.
