LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Robert D. Hayward was celebrated by Monsignor Marc Caron Monday morning, July 20, at Holy Family Church of the Prince of Peace Parish.
During Mass, Robert’s brother-in-law, Derek Ten Eyck, proclaimed a reading from the New Testament. The Prayer of the Faithful was recited by Robert’s sister, Amanda Ten Eyck. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Robert’s niece, Rebecca Hayward; and his brother, Ricky Hayward.
The pallbearers were Richard and Ricky Hayward, Derek Ten Eyck, Jimmy Cole, and David, Ryan and Nick Barry.
Following Mass, a reception of fellowship was held at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston.
Committal services will be held Wednesday, July 22, at 1 p.m. at the Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta, with the U.S. Air Force military honor detail concluding services.
