AUGUSTA — An Augusta woman is accused of trying to hide 13 grams of cocaine in her body.

Investigators say they stopped

for illegally attached license plates on her truck. Police say because Pearl was free on bail for prior drug charges, they searched her, her car, and her two passengers.

A drug dog signaled he smelled cocaine on Pearl, but when officers searched her they couldn’t find any.

Police then got a search warrant so they could X-ray Pearl. That’s when police say she admitted to putting drugs in condoms and carrying them in her body. She turned them over to police.
