JAY — Patrick and Kathleen Herman of Virginia Beach, Va., are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kathryn Christine Herman of Arlington, Va., to Adam Joseph DeSanctis, also of Arlington, Va., son of Brent and Anne DeSanctis of Jay.
Ms. Herman graduated from First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, Va., in 2003, earned dual bachelor’s degrees from Virginia Tech in 2007, and a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 2013. She currently works as a professional staff member on the Committee on Education and the Workforce for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.
Mr. DeSanctis graduated from Jay High School in 2005 and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine in 2009. He currently works in Washington, D.C., as the economic issues media manager for the National Association of Realtors.
The wedding will be held in Kitty Hawk, N.C., on Sept. 26.
