1959 – 2015
AUBURN — William Walter Pillar, 56, of Otisfield, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Hospice House in Auburn after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer.
He was born on July 25, 1959, in West Palm Beach, Fla., to parents Walter William and Arlene (Hohensee) Pillar Jr.
He graduated from Henry Abbott Regional Vocational Technical, Danbury, Conn., in 1978 with the nickname “spaceman.”
William enjoyed Tae kwan do, fishing, hunting, motorcycling, going to concerts, woodworking, traveling, cooking, gardening and especially spending time with his friends and family.
He worked at Mega Systems and more recently worked for QC Services in Harrison as a field calibration engineer.

Surviving him are his loving wife, Janet Annis; sons, Matt and Shane Pillar; stepdaughter, Kailey Medlock and husband, Henry; stepson, Joshua McLaughlin and wife, Raeleen; and eight grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents.
