SABATTUS – A West Ridge Road couple was arrested early Thursday and charged with dealing heroin out of their home.
Theodore M. Lague, 33, and Tabitha N. Tardiff, 32, were charged with aggravated trafficking in heroin after police and drug agents searched their home at 54 West Ridge Road.
Police said the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Sabattus Police Department have been investigating the sale of heroin from multiple Sabattus homes over recent months.
Lewiston and Lisbon police assisted with a search of the West Ridge Road home. Seized, police said, were 42 grams of heroin with a street value of $8500. Also found were items consistent with the trafficking of heroin , including scales and packing material, according to a press release.
Both suspects were taken to the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn. Bail was set at $5000 on Lague. Bail was set at $2500 on Tardiff.
Police said more arrests are likely as their investigation continues.
