AUBURN — A Lewiston woman is expected to be sentenced later this month on charges of misusing electronic benefit transfer cards that didn’t belong to her.
Roberta Ishola, 51, of 70 Blake St., was charged last spring with three counts of the misdemeanor. She also was charged with one misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of a scheduled drug, Adderall, which is sometimes used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
According to court documents reviewed Tuesday, Ishola had in her possession a year ago three EBT cards that she was not authorized to use. The cards were issued in the names of three men.
Earlier this month, Ishola pleaded guilty to two of the three counts of misuse of electronic benefits. In an agreement with prosecutors, a 30-day sentencing cap was placed on each of the two charges. Each of the charges was punishable by up to 364 days in jail.
Her sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 30 in Androscoggin County Superior Court. She is free on her personal recognizance.
