Riders Club rolling along
The Riders Club was established to inspire our communities to provide a positive gateway for all snowboarders, free ride skiers, skateboarders, and surfers. It is our intention to offer participants the opportunity to follow their passions, live healthy lives, and become respectful, successful citizens.
The Riders Club has developed collaborative relationships and created programs with Titcomb Mountain in Farmington, Shawnee Peak in Bridgton, Spruce Mountain in Jay with teams riding at Kents Hill and Sugarloaf among others. Our sports curriculum involves offering our superior coaching services, youth equipment needs and mentoring to kids whether they be from disadvantaged families or otherwise.
Due to the hightenened interest from youth throughout the state of Maine they have voiced the critical need for organizations like The Riders Club to develop Maine youth in board sports in a safe progressive manner while instilling the Skateboarding is by far the most popular action sport with 12 million Americans who participate each year and 4.7 million frequent participants who skate more than 30 days per year. Eighty percent of skateboarders are between the ages of 7 and 17 with an average age of 14.
Our riding community is growing every day. Currently, we train at Titcomb Mountain in Farmington on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday afternoons from 3 to 5 p.m., and at Shawnee Peak in Bridgton on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m.
We can also be found at Payson Park in Portland. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram @theridersclub to see where we’re riding next.
