JAY — A local woman was killed when her vehicle and another collided head-on on Route 140, also known as Intervale Road, on Thursday afternoon.

When police arrived they found Tina Dolloff, 45, of Jay, unresponsive in her vehicle, Detective Michael Mejia said in a news release Thursday night.

Police initiated CPR and attached an automated external defibrillator until a NorthStar EMS Ambulance arrived, Mejia said.

Dolloff was pronounced dead at the scene.

Spencer Brennick, 17, of Jay was the driver of the second vehicle. His passenger was Thomas Young, 17, of Livermore Falls, police Chief Richard Caton IV said.

Both teenagers were taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington for further medical evaluation, with initial reports of head and wrist injuries, according to the release.

It was later discovered that one of the juveniles had a small tear in his lung, but it did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

The operator of one of the vehicles involved, apparently Brennick, called 911 to report the 2:42 p.m. crash and to report that another vehicle had crossed into his lane and struck him head-on, Mejia said.

Maine State Police crash reconstruction specialists examined the scene.

The investigation determined that Dolloff was driving west in a 2008 Nissan Rogue and crossed the centerline, entering the wrong lane of travel while attempting to navigate a gradual curve in the roadway, Mejia said. A 2005 Audi A4 traveling east was struck head-on.

At the time of the crash, Dolloff’s driver’s license was revoked with a habitual offender status, Mejia said.

There was an active warrant for her arrest for operating after revocation, originating from an incident two days prior when she failed to stop for law enforcement in Jay, he said.

The crash investigation was pending toxicology results from the drivers of both vehicles, which is standard protocol in fatal accidents. Speed did not appear to be a factor, Mejia said.
