AUBURN — Three upcoming Auburn Senior Citizens trips have been announced.
Tuesday, March 15: Haven’s Candy Factory, Westbrook. Participants in the trip may shop for Easter candy, go to the Christmas Tree Shops, Olive Garden and Burlington Coat Factory. Van leaves Pettengill Park at 9 a.m. and returns by 4 p.m. Register in advance at the Auburn Recreation office from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday Cost is $5.
Tuesday, April 12: Pineland Farms Market and Cheese Factory, New Gloucester. The trip will begin at the Farm Market where tickets will be purchased for the Cheese Factory and Dairy Barn Tour. All will return to the market to shop and have lunch on their own. Van leaves Pettengill Park at 9 a.m. and will return by 2 p.m. Register in advance at the Auburn Recreation office. Cost of $10 includes price of tour.
Monday, May 9: Norlands Living History Center, “Norlands Through the Years.” Trip-goers will walk through the Norlands historic buildings, including the Washburn mansion, and hear a discussion about the Washburn family and how the landscapes, building and lives have changed through the years. Van leaves Pettengill Park at 9 a.m. and returns by 2 p.m. Cost of $15 includes price of tour. Bring a bag lunch. Picnic tables are available. Register in advance in the recreation office.
