LEWISTON — Planning Board regular meeting, 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber on the bottom floor of City Hall. Topics include a rezoning request for a property at 200 College St. to permit lodging houses.
AUBURN — Joint meeting of the City Council and School Committee, 6 p.m. in the City Council Chamber of Auburn Hall. The topic is the 2016-17 capital improvements plan and budget.
LEWISTON — School Committee, 6 p.m., downtown Dingley Building. Agenda: approval of new school budget and design, plus budget work on elementary schools.
TUESDAY, March 15
LEWISTON — City Council workshop and regular meeting. The workshop is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Topics include the Raise Op housing cooperative, Memorial Armory cell antennas, and a city ordinance limiting the number of dogs. The regular meeting is at 7 p.m. and topics include a use policy for the new Simard-Payne Memorial Park amphitheater, zoning for fitness centers, property sales and liquor licenses, and special use permits.
WEDNESDAY, March 16
LEWISTON — School Committee budget meeting, 6 p.m., Dingley Building.
AUBURN — School Committee meeting at 7 p.m., workshop at 6 p.m., Auburn Hall.
THURSDAY, March 17
LEWISTON — Great Falls Forum, noon, Lewiston Public Library. Restorative justice expert Margaret Micolicheck will present “When We Cry for Justice, What do We Really Mean?” Free, bring bag lunch.
FRIDAY, March 18
AUBURN — Children ages 6 to 12 are invited to explore the science behind criminal investigations, 10 a.m., Auburn Public Library. Hands-on activities include fingerprinting.
