There was also a big boulder that had a shelf carved on one side of it, about a foot long. Everybody used to say it was carved by Indians. Who knows if it was true or not, I can’t say so or verify.

As for the pigs mentioned in the follow-up Sun Spots column published on Dec. 5, 2015, Mr. Bisson’s pigs, they came only in the early ’50s. In 1952, a big snowfall of 47 inches stranded us for three whole days. Mr. Bisson hired a team of dog sleds to bring grain to his pigs, otherwise they would have died. Sorry it took me so long to write this. We love Sun Spots. Thank you for all of your info. — Jackie, No Town.

ANSWER: Sun Spots is happy you decided to write, regardless of how long we waited to hear from you. It’s always fun and interesting to hear from people firsthand about their memories of certain locations.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I subscribe to the Sun Journal and the TV Preview Guide. On the channel listings, there is a listing that says “FREE,” and it lists different movies. I cannot find out what channel that would be on our remote. Maybe you would  have some luck finding out for me. Thanks. — Walter, Chesterville.

ANSWER: “FREE” stands for “Freeform,” formerly ABC Family, which changed its name in January of this year. As for where you might find it on your remote, it really depends on the service provider you have.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am writing to thank a lovely lady name Mary for finding and returning my purse in the Burger King parking lot. I also want to thank the lady from Burger King for all her help. L-A has wonderful people living in the area. Thank you. — Ann, Auburn.
