LEWISTON – Martin Engstrom will be at Mr. Paperback at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, to sign copies of his new book, “Marty on the Mountain.”
The book is about his 38 years on top of Mount Washington in New Hampshire, as a transmitter engineer who also moonlighted as a weather reporter, both for WMTW-TV 8.
Franco-American boyhood described
LEWISTON – Fran Pelletier will sign copies of his new book, “Little Pine to King Spruce: A Franco-American Childhood,” from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 6, at Mr. Paperback.
His book is about growing up in an extended Franco-American family in Maine during the 1930s. Authentically small-town American, yet spiced by his French-Canadian heritage, these stories will resonate with people throughout New England, said a spokesman for the store.
