LEWISTON – The 14th annual “Messiah” singalong will be presented jointly by the Androscoggin Valley Community Orchestra and the Maine Music Society. Peter Frewen, musical director of the Maine Music Society, will lead the orchestra and chorus in this community celebration.
This sacred oratorio by Handel will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, in St. Joseph’s Church on Main Street. The public is invited to join members of the Androscoggin Chorale in the performance of this spirited rendition of the Christmas story. People can bring their own vocal scores, or some scores will be available for loan at the concert.
