AUBURN — Rogers Post had two strong pitching efforts Saturday evening in a doubleheader sweep over Franklin County.
Lew Jenson threw six no-hit innings in the first game and Ben Haris came on in the seventh to finish off the the combined no-hitter as Rogers Post won, 6-1.
Offensively, Rogers Post had doubles from Jarod Norcross-Plourde, Jenson, Drew Lashua and Race Bouchard.
Jenson and Lashua had two hits in the game, as did Austin Cox.
Jenson gave up his only run in the second when he issued a walk with the bases loaded. Nate Goodine came into score. Rogers Post also committed an error in the inning.
In the second game, Damien St. Pierre went the distance in a four-hitter, striking out 10, as Rogers Post (3-0) defeated Franklin County, 4-2.
Colton Lawrence had a strong outing for Franklin, going six innings, allowing three hits and striking out nine. He gave up all four runs in the first inning.
Ryan Pratt had a pair of singles for Franklin County (0-4)
Pastime sweeps Bessey Motors
LEWISTON — Pastime swept Bessey Motors to improve 4-0 on the season with a 9-1 victory in Game 1, and a 5-3 victory in Game 2.
Lucas Francis threw a four-hit complete game in the opener for Pastime. He also had a pair of hits and drove in three runs at the plate. Gordon Beckwith had a double and Brock Belanger had a triple.
Matt Smith and Jake Spinhirn each had a double for Bessey.
In the second contest, Brady Cusson scattered eight hits in a complete game for Pastime.
Hunter Landry had a pair of hits and two RBIs in the victory. Gage Cote and Evan Cox each had a double and a single.
Brady Lafrance had a double for Bessey while Emery Chickering also had a pair of hits. Matt Smith and Ashton Kennison also had a double for Bessey.
