PORTLAND – Jeannine Greenleaf of Minot, a licensed practical nurse at New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland, received the prestigious Buzz Fitzgerald Award for 2006 at an employee recognition ceremony May 23.
The award is presented annually to an NERHP staff member in recognition of their outstanding leadership, dedication, integrity and enthusiasm. Friends and family members created the award in memory of Buzz Fitzgerald, former president of Bath Iron Works. Fitzgerald was a patient at NERHP and touched the lives of many of its employees during this time.
Judy Ordway of Poland, administrative support to the inpatient rehabilitation department, was presented with the “Maggie” recognition award. This award was established through an anonymous donation in memory of a parent. It recognizes non-licensed and non-exempt employees for their outstanding knowledge of their job, willingness to go above and beyond and who exhibit a positive attitude and interactions with others.
